The Fly Amanita (Amanita muscaria) is one of the most iconic mushroom species in the world. I have seen these on many hikes through the forest in the US and also in Europe. The candy red cap stands out so vividly. I used watercolor to create this painting depicting an immature and fully grown mushroom emerging from the pine needles among which they often grow.
