Watercolor print of Amanita calyptroderma
This is a print of my original watercolor painting of Amanita calyptroderma, also known as Coccora. It is a high-quality 5x7" or 8.5x11" print on heavy weight rag (300 gsm) archival paper with a natural tone. The print is matted with an acid free ivory matte and has a cardboard backing for protection. The whole print with the matte measures 8x10" for the small print, and 11x14" for the large print, and will fit in a standard frame. The print is packaged in protective plastic.
The Coccora mushroom (Amanita calyptroderma) is an edible species with a beautiful orange cap. I have seen these on hikes through the forest on the west coast, but have never been brave enough to eat one. I used watercolor to create this painting depicting an immature and fully grown mushroom emerging from the ground.
